Therapeutic Support The What
Looking after yourself can be extraordinarily challenging particularly when a diagnosis can significantly affect how you think or how others perceive you.
Therapeutic Support sessions provide platforms for our participants (and sometimes, families) to develop skills to manage emotional regulation, implement routine and structure, and gain valuable insight into their diagnoses.
The How
- Face to face – funding and location dependent we can set up face to face sessions on a weekly/fortnightly/monthly basis to accommodate your needs.
- Telehealth – no participant should be left behind, and therefore, we can facilitate online sessions whether that is via video or simple telephone calls.
- Progress reports – As these sessions are funded by the NDIS, we are obligated to highlight the baseline and progression which fueled the need for the sessions in the first place. All reports will be submitted to the participant to review before these are circulated to the relevant bodies.
Facilitating Therapeutic Support sessions is very much participant focused – everything we do and talk about is focused on improving your quality of life. There are no expectations – you are very much in control of what is discussed, but we will try to work towards goals that may assist you in your daily lives.
The Why
Everyone has the right to voice their concerns and feel like they’re being heard. Too often we come across participants who have been judged and disregarded based on their diagnosis alone, and it is of no surprise behaviours of concern manifest. Therefore, our role is to provide that sounding platform for our participants, to assist in verbalizing their needs, and to accentuate the risks should those needs not be met.
If you, your loved one or someone you advocate for needs help in improving their daily lives, get in touch and we would love to chat through your needs.
